Vaccinations are the best defense against the spread of disease in large crowds, such as at a theme park. If you haven't gotten vaccinated, or need a booster shot, do it today!
Three of the five have been treated and medically cleared. Meanwhile, Disneyland is requiring all cast members who were in contact with those five cast members during the time that they were contagious to show either that they have been vaccinated or are immune to measles. Cast members who cannot will be placed on paid leave, according to the report.
Orange County health officials this week also barred unvaccinated students from classes at Huntington Beach High School after a student at the school came down with the disease. Officials hope that by isolating those with the disease from unvaccinated people, they can halt its spread.
Two of the cast members who came down with measles were vaccinated. It is not known yet if the other three were or not. Disneyland is offering vaccines and booster shots to its cast members.
