Coming Attractions, at IAAPA 2014 in Orlando

By Robert Niles: ORLANDO — Regional amusement parks today showed off their new attractions during the IAAPA 2014 Expo. At the Rocky Mountain Construction booth, Six Flags Magic Mountain unveiled the roller coaster train for its new Twisted Colossus coaster, which RMC is converting from the old Colossus woodie.

Over at the S & S Construction booth, expo visitors could see the new 4D Free Flyer train that will run on Six Flags Fiesta Texas' new Batman: The Ride, debuting in 2015.

In the Bolliger & Mabillard booth, this year's centerpiece is the train from Holiday World's Thunderbird, which will be the first launched wing coaster in the United States when it opens next year.

It's not just roller coasters getting attention at IAAPA. We looked earlier today at Six Flags' new Justice League ride. And this afternoon, Triotech, the company developing Knott's Berry Farm's new Voyage to the Iron Reef, used the occasion to release new images from the upcoming 3D shooter ride.
